I would say Jack needs two things within the show- 1. That he is childlike and fanciful (Lets be honest-His best friend was a COW!). 2. But he also needs to be able to have an emotional journey, that he can go from boy to man.

I would find a song/monologue that contrast to show these :) Let me know how the audition goes!
